For a 20-25 m2 room, 9,000 BTU models are common. For 25-35 m2, 12,000 BTU is often used. High ceilings or strong sun require extra capacity.

An inverter motor uses electricity more steadily and keeps the room temperature smoother. A regular motor can be cheaper upfront.
